Spark explores Media Education by using various levels of technology to promote practical use of images, words, and sounds in the classroom. Media Art is a productive method of investigating both internal and external issues and can also be used to study and reinforce any content area. It promotes the development of life skills, such as critical thinking and teamwork with an added appeal to visual and auditory learners.
“As a public school teacher and a community organizer, I have personally observed the positive impact that Children’s Media Project has had on my students and in their neighborhoods. Each student has grown emotionally, culturally and inter-personally after their experience at [Spark]. In addition, each student has gained an appreciation and a set of skills in the world of communication and media arts.”
