DROP TV is Spark’s flagship teen filmmaking program. Over the course of the summer, DROP TV youth create original short films across multiple genres that go on to be seen at film festivals, local screenings, and on social media.
DROP TV youth, under the guidance of professional and peer mentorship, are involved in all aspects of production (and post-production): they draft and research story-lines, write scripts, scout out locations, schedule shoots, film and edit their works.
DROP TV is also a workforce development program. Our youth producers are hired for the summer as employees, and youth receive training that prepares them to enter the workforce. This process provides local youth the marketable skills they need to further develop their goals and careers, in the world of media, and beyond.
Please check back soon for more information about our next DROP TV session!
Teens are invited to apply to Media Magic, our Media Lab held during the school year.
We need your help! The cost of providing this priceless opportunity to the youth in our community is substantial, and we need your financial support to ensure this valuable resource continues. Your contribution makes a quantifiable difference in the lives of local youth.
